Happie: Scenario Analysis of Logistics

Client

Happie was a Swiss provider of sustainable meal kits, delivered weekly to customers in reusable containers. With a focus on reducing food and packaging waste, Happie offered healthy, ready-to-prepare recipes with portioned seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Initial situation

Happie had planned an expansion in Switzerland and wanted to investigate how delivery logistics can be optimized to be both economical and align with Happie’s sustainability ethos.

Solution

LogiLab conducted a scenario analysis of various delivery options for Happie. Various delivery models were developed and evaluated based on criteria such as cost, efficiency, sustainability, and feasibility. Quantifying the unit delivery costs per meal kit depending on the volume enabled the selection of the most economical delivery option depending on the location and situation.

Result

With the scenario analysis of the delivery options, LogiLab provided Happie with a basis for decision-making to define an optimal strategy for its future Swiss distribution network.
